Special Election for Revisions to the Constitution

The ASOSU will be having a special election on May 21 and May 22 that you can access on Blackboard. Student will be voting on a revised constitution that has been approved by the 67th ASOSU Senate.

The attached PDF is the ASOSU Constitution as revised and approved by the 67th ASOSU Senate. The majority of the revisions affect the following three areas:

1. The unification of the Undergraduate and Graduate Senate. This change has been made to better represent all of the Associated Students of Oregon State University. We believe that unification will grant everyone the chance to have a voice in their student government.
2. Job titles and responsibilities have been updated to ensure that this document accurately reflects the titles and duties of ASOSU employees.
3. Other grammatical and formatting changes have been made to the Constitution, not affecting the wording or interpretation of the clauses therein.

The revisions and updates made to this Constitution are supported by the ASOSU Senate and the Executive branch of the ASOSU Student Government. We recommend that you read the document before voting, so that all students understand the clauses that regulate how our student government is run.
