History:
Our Little Village was originally created as a two part student fee, one for the construction of a student owned and operated childcare center, the other for the operation costs of that center. Unknown to the students at the time, student fee dollars cannot be used for capital construction endeavors and the building fee was unfortunately eliminated. The operational fee however has remained. The idea of Our Little Village has transformed from a single childcare center to a spectrum of services and advocacy for student parents. The initial goal remains the same: to help parents access higher education through affordable childcare.
The Associated Students of Oregon State University recognizes the unique and demanding obligations faced by student parents. We believe there is no role more vital than parent, and Our Little Village was created to support students with such diligent lives.
