History of the Office

The Associated Students of Oregon State University have provided students with legal representation for many years.

Audrey Bach specializes in landlord-tenant issues, consumer problems, credit issues, personal injuries, and car accidents. Hal Harding specializes in criminal cases, traffic violations, wills, divorces, and name changes.

However, the students have not been represented when the other party to their dispute is Oregon State University or one of its administrative units. In response to this perceived need, ASOSU created the position of Legal Advocate for students. In October 2000, the ASOSU hired Patricia Lacy to be their Legal Advocate for students.
