Our Mission
To make buildings, courses, and student life accessible to all students.

Testing for Learning Disabilities
Do you ever wonder if you have a learning disability? Over 350 students at OSU are registered as having a learning disability. These students have access to services such as note-taking, extended testing times, and tutoring through Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD). You might be eligible to receive these services as well, but you would have to pay $650 to get the documentation from an assessment agency in Corvallis. Our goal is to bring affordable assessment to OSU.
Left-Handed Desks
Left-handed students don’t consider themselves “disabled”, but they do face problems of inaccessibility. An uncomfortable desk can make it hard to concentrate during lecture or midterms. Jessica is one left-handed student who would like to see a little consistency in the location and numbers of lefty-handed desks.

Signage
When there’s only one wheelchair accessible bathroom in a building, how do you find it? It should be easy to find facilities like bathrooms, ramps, and wheelchair lifts on campus. Our goal is to get the campus sign-maker to produce quality signs for the accessible facilities in each building.

Maps
There is no comprehensive map of the accessible routes and facilities on campus. Accessible routes should be in a pamphlet and on the OSU map website.

Milam Ramp
Students have complained that the entry ramp at Milam hall is steep and slippery in the winter. Our goal is to fix it.
